This plan is designed for travelers who want to experience it all in the Coffee Region: the majesty of the world's tallest wax palms, the mystique of a waterfall hidden among old railroad tunnels, the secret behind a great cup of coffee and the colonial charm of Filandia.
In three days you'll combine adventure, nature and coffee culture, with local transportation, admission fees, meals and two nights of lodging included. We coordinate every detail so all you have to do is enjoy; and since every traveler arrives differently, you can choose how to start your plan.
Day one starts in the Valle del Cocora with a short horseback ride that crosses the river and reaches a small waterfall, followed by the climb to the wax palm viewpoint and photos at the most famous spots. After a traditional lunch, the afternoon is for the Santa Rita Waterfall: you'll walk through a dreamlike farm, cross historic tunnels of the old railroad and hanging bridges until you reach natural pools for a refreshing dip. You'll wrap up the day with a mini tour of Salento's viewpoints.
On day two you'll immerse yourself in coffee culture: you'll tour the most iconic farms on the way to Finca Buenos Aires, where you'll put on a poncho, hat and basket to experience the coffee process from seed to cup, with a country-style snack included. Then you'll travel to Filandia to explore its Colina Iluminada and the famous “Street where time stood still,” before returning to Salento.
Day three is completely flexible and designed for you to end your trip at your own pace. You can use it to rest, explore Salento leisurely, enjoy a specialty coffee or shop for handicrafts, and also to complete any experience still pending. It also serves as a buffer for the unexpected: if weather or fatigue affect an earlier day, we'll reschedule activities for this day so you don't miss a thing. And when it's time to check out of the hotel, we'll store your luggage at our office free of charge until your activities end or the office closes, so you can enjoy the day without carrying bags.
We adapt your arrival so you don't waste a minute:
Your rest is guaranteed: we select accommodations with a private room, en-suite bathroom, cleanliness and the warmth typical of the Coffee Region. Subject to availability, you'll stay at:
