Discover one of the best-kept secrets of the Coffee Region with this 2-day plan. The adventure begins in La Carbonera, a little-explored natural paradise and home to one of the most impressive wax palm forests in Colombia, which you'll tour aboard a traditional Jeep with a local guide.
On the second day, you'll experience coffee culture from the inside at Finca Buenos Aires and visit the colorful town of Filandia. A plan that combines nature, tranquility and tradition, with transportation, meals during the tour and two nights of lodging included.
On the first day, you'll ride a traditional Jeep up to La Carbonera, where a local guide will take you through the largest wax palm forest in the area and its best photo spots. You'll enjoy a snack along the way and a typical lunch in a natural setting before returning to your hotel in Salento.
On the second day, Finca Cafetera Buenos Aires awaits, where you'll learn the coffee process from plant to cup in an authentic setting. Then you'll visit Filandia, famous for its colorful architecture and panoramic viewpoints, with a traditional lunch included before returning to Salento.
Day three is completely flexible and designed for you to end your trip at your own pace. You can use it to rest, explore Salento leisurely, enjoy a specialty coffee or shop for handicrafts, and also to complete any experience still pending. It also serves as a buffer for the unexpected: if weather or fatigue affect an earlier day, we'll reschedule activities for this day so you don't miss a thing. And when it's time to check out of the hotel, we'll store your luggage at our office free of charge until your activities end or the office closes, so you can enjoy the day without carrying bags.

In general, we recommend comfortable walking clothes, sunscreen, a hat or cap to avoid direct sun, a jacket or sweater in case of sudden rain (brief showers), a fully charged camera or phone, cash for on-site purchases "coffee shops, handicrafts, etc." and proper footwear for walking on mountain trails.

Yes, all our guides are experienced and trained experts. In case of bad weather, we'll notify you in advance about changes, rescheduling, or cancellations if conditions get worse.
Yes. Since this plan includes lodging or camping, cancellation is free up to 3 days (72 hours) before the start: we refund 100% of what you paid, with no fees. You can also change the date at no cost with 3 or more days' notice, subject to availability. With less than 3 days' notice, or if you don't show up, the booking is non-refundable. We always try to wait a few minutes, but we recommend arriving on time to avoid issues. If you are more than 10 minutes late from the agreed time, your activity will be rescheduled to the next start time, subject to availability.
