Everything you need to know to plan your visit to the Valle del Cocora and the Coffee Region.

We've gathered our travelers' most common questions, organized into three stages: before booking, during the tour, and final details. If your question isn't here, message us on WhatsApp and we'll be happy to help.

1 Logistics and bookings

We recommend booking at least 48 hours in advance. For weekends and holidays, ideally book a week ahead.

We usually depart from our office at Calle 2 # 6-09 in Salento, Quindío. We also offer pickup at hotels or points of interest in town. We'll confirm your exact meeting point when you book.

Yes. You can cancel up to 3 days in advance with no penalty; we recommend reviewing our cancellation policy. Rescheduling is subject to availability.

We accept credit and debit cards, local bank transfers, and cash on the day of the tour. See the payments page for details.

Children under 5 travel free. Kids ages 5 to 12 get a 20% to 50% discount depending on the tour chosen (does not apply to horseback rides) on most of our packages.

2 During the tour

Dress in layers. Comfortable pants (avoid jeans if possible), a breathable T-shirt, and a waterproof jacket are essential.

Yes! We offer flat routes and trails designed specifically for enjoying the scenery without much physical effort.

We recommend tours starting at 7:00 a.m. or 8:00 a.m. to avoid the crowds and enjoy the morning mist over the wax palms.

We're pet friendly on select tours. We just ask that your pet stays on a leash and that you clean up after it.

Valle del Cocora sits between 1,800 and 2,700 m (5,900–8,860 ft) above sea level. The weather is cool, ranging from 12 °C to 20 °C (54–68 °F).

3 Additional information

It depends on the package. Most include a traditional snack and a drink, with the option to add a typical lunch (garlic trout).

Service is spotty and weak at the bottom of the valley. It's the perfect place to disconnect and enjoy nature.

Yes! We have bilingual guides. Please request one when you book to ensure availability.

Drone use in the open wax palm areas is at the guide's discretion, as long as it doesn't bother other travelers or the local wildlife. Ask your guide before flying.

We're certified local guides. We don't just show you the way: we share the history, ecology, and legends of our land.
