La Carbonera (or Tochecito), between Quindío and Tolima, is home to the densest and largest wax palm forest on the planet, with more than 600,000 specimens of Colombia's national tree.

It's a pristine natural sanctuary explored on horseback or on an off-road Jeep Willys safari, far from mass tourism.
